The picture above shows a training drill in which there are five red players at each side of the designated area and four green players in the center area.
The drill starts when the coach or assistant coach at the outside kicks the ball in to the red player at left side who than passes it to his fellow red player. The green players in the center area acts as defenders here and a couple of them tries to stop the passing of the ball and take possession of the ball from the red players on the left side while the other two green players stay in the center area. The red players at left, after playing a few passes between themselves, cross the ball to the red player on the right side of the field who receives the cross and controls the ball. He then starts passing the ball to red players on his side while the other two green players who stayed in the center earlier, now begin to take the possession and stop the red players.
This drill is highly useful to practice the pressing situations in a real match, both for the defending side and attacking side.
