The picture above is of a training drill which works on the coordination, passing, crossing and finishing of the players.
The drill starts when the player from Spot A plays a pass to the player who approaches the ball from Spot B. The player of Spot A, after passing the ball makes a run forward, along the flank passing through the Spot B. The player who received the ball, rolls the ball before playing it to the striker who comes a little back to receive the ball, and runs inside the penalty box. The striker plays it to the player from Spot A and makes a run inside the penalty box. The player from Spot A, who had made the run and receives the ball at the right flank, plays a cross inside the penalty box where the striker and the player from Spot B are waiting for the ball. The player from Spot B, makes a contact with the ball and scores a volley to finish the drill as the goalkeeper dives on the wrong side.
This drill is highly effective to enhance the chemistry between the players so that they can play as a single unit in a real match.
