The two figures given above are of a field formation. The Fig.1 shows a 3-3-4 starting formation. It is one of the most widely used formation in Football. It provides a strong defence line with four defenders at back and the midfields being close are also very helpful in defending situation. The attacking line is also strengthened by the help of midfield. Moreover, The Left back and Right Back also contribute a lot on the Flanks.
